Description:
The IS Business Partner is accountable for building durable relationships with business leaders, shaping long-term demand, and ensuring technology investments are aligned with enterprise strategy and measurable business outcomes. This role balances relationship management, strategic planning, and delivery enablement. Helping the business navigate ambiguity, make informed tradeoffs, and increase technology maturity over time.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the main strategic liaison between Information Services and business portfolios, fostering transparent and accountable relationships
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategy into actionable technology roadmaps focused on value
- Work closely with business stakeholders and peers to identify cross-portfolio opportunities for cost reduction, value optimization, and risk reduction
- Proactively identify mandatory and maturity investments (e.g., technical debt reduction, cost optimization, compliance, and risk mitigation) required to sustain portfolio health beyond business‑requested initiatives
- Oversee portfolio planning by maintaining long-term roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, and managing risk and capacity
- Guide initiatives from concept through investment planning, including business cases and high-level estimates
- Support investment decisions by ensuring project estimates and recommendations align with portfolio priorities
- Work with service providers and vendors to articulate business needs, validate scope alignment, and support governance processes
- Facilitate stakeholder management, smooth transitions from planning to delivery, and monitor portfolio risks and outcomes to inform leadership decision-making
- Use data and stakeholder input to inform decisions, manage ambiguity, and communicate clear priorities and alternatives
- Advocate for alignment with IS Strategy, AI Strategy, compliance, and architecture across all activities
- Collaborate with peers to enhance relationship management, portfolio planning, and governance practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in information technology, business engagement, strategic planning, portfolio management, or related roles
