Interior Designer

Architecture49 (A49) is seeking a passionate Interior Designer to join their Ottawa office. A49 is a growing architectural firm with a national presence across Canada, offering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual designs in collaboration with the team and Project Manager to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

• Research, source, and specify finishes, furniture systems, and fixtures required for projects.

• Use REVIT or AutoCAD to develop deliverables at various stages of the project, including functional programming, schematic design, working drawings, and contract administration.

• Conduct site audits or surveys to document existing conditions.

• Assist with contract administration during construction phases as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must be an Intern or Registered Interior Designer in Ontario (ARIDO), or eligible for registration in Ontario.

• College diploma or university degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program.

• Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in Interior Design.

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

• Experience in coordinating and producing Interior Design drawing packages.

• Experience with functional programming, material, and furniture selection.

• Ability to travel to project sites.

• Experience in healthcare projects is considered an asset.
