Interim Executive Director

Description:

We are looking for an inspired and motivated Interim Executive Director to build strong community relationships, managing fundraising opportunities, achieving strategic planning goals, and guiding program delivery.

Reporting to the Stewardship Pemberton Society Board of Directors, the ED’s primary functions include fundraising, developing and deepening key partnerships, leading long and short term strategic and operational planning, overseeing the care of the One Mile Lake Nature Centre, financial responsibility, and employee and contractor management.

● Schedule: 20 hours/week, year-round, with flexible hours.

● Contract term: April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

Stewardship Pemberton Society is a 20 year-old non-profit charity that is dedicated to stewarding

the local environment, food system, and community.

We are looking for an inspired and motivated Interim Executive Director (IED) integral to building

strong community relationships, managing fundraising opportunities, achieving strategic planning

goals, and guiding program delivery. Reporting to the Stewardship Pemberton Society Board of

Directors, the ED’s primary functions include fundraising, developing and deepening key

partnerships, leading long and short term strategic and operational planning, overseeing the care

of the One Mile Lake Nature Centre, financial responsibility, and contractor management.

The candidate must be able to play a variety of roles: coach, strategist, observer, researcher,

facilitator, administrator, cheerleader and critical friend. People skills necessary.
