Description:

CAE, a global leader in modeling, simulation, and training for civil aviation, is seeking Full Time Corporate Aviation Instructor Pilots to join their Montreal team. The Instructor Pilot role goes beyond training pilots—it involves cultivating confidence and skill to ensure every pilot is fully prepared for operational excellence. The position includes simulator sessions, pre-flight briefings, and acting as a subject matter expert to deliver high-quality aviation training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver simulator/flight and classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

  • Conduct pre- and post-flight simulator briefings professionally, adhering to CAE standards.

  • Complete administrative duties including maintaining training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking instructional qualifications.

  • Act as subject matter expert in the creation of curricula and courseware as needed.

  • Tailor training sessions to meet the needs of a diverse customer base.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Unrestricted Transport Canada ATPL; ability to obtain FAA ATP (Category 1 medical required).

  • Minimum 1500 hours multi-crew experience.

  • Passion for teaching with strong communication skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, internet-based programs).

  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

  • Authorized to live and work in Canada.

  • Professional character with a commitment to creating a welcoming learning environment.

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records in accordance with CAE and FAA requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit in a confined space for 4–6 hours at a time with limited breaks.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours).

  • Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as required.
