Innovation Incentives Technology Consultant

Deloitte Canada is hiring for an Innovation Incentives Technology Consultant as part of its Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) team. The Gi3 group specializes in helping businesses access innovation funding programs such as SR&ED (Scientific Research & Experimental Development). As a Consultant, you will support clients by identifying, documenting, and defending claims under various government incentive programs, particularly in the fields of software, hardware, and telecommunications R&D.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and support SR&ED tax incentive claims under the guidance of senior practitioners

• Conduct technical scoping and interviews with client engineering teams

• Document and articulate complex technical development processes

• Assist in audit defense and building long-term client relationships

• Contribute to business development and support innovation strategy execution

• Grow into a trusted advisor role with increasingly strategic client engagements

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a software, hardware, or telecommunications technology role

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to quickly learn and describe complex technical subjects

• Comfortable working independently and within a high-performance team

• Skilled in building rapport with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
