Description:

Sunday House is a unique summer community experience held every Sunday at a lakeside family home in Port Carling, Muskoka. It transforms the location into a welcoming, warm gathering space where guests can enjoy swimming, paddling, food, and connection. This role is about delivering exceptional hospitality with attention to detail and genuine warmth, creating a sense of belonging and comfort for every visitor.

As a Hospitality Associate, you will rotate through various roles including coffee and cocktail service, food preparation and cleanup, greeting guests, assisting with parking (cars and boats), and maintaining shared spaces. The role demands a proactive and friendly attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for service excellence.

The position includes a paid training day on June 29 and an extended workday on August 3 for the midsummer celebration. Candidates must have local accommodation and reliable transport to Port Carling each Sunday.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide coffee and cocktail service

  • Manage lunch service and cleanup duties

  • Greet, orient, and warmly assist guests throughout the day

  • Support parking logistics for vehicles and boats

  • Restock supplies and tidy all shared areas

  • Assist in weekly setup and reset of Sunday House

  • Participate in training and extended event days as scheduled


Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License and Pleasure Craft Operator Card (motor boat license)

  • Smart Serve certification or willingness to obtain it

  • Friendly, professional, and proactive communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment

  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail

  • Willingness to perform both visible service and behind-the-scenes tasks

  • Local accommodation and reliable transportation to Port Carling on Sundays


Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Lifeguard Certification (Canada) or First Aid Training

  • Prior experience in hospitality, events, food service, or guest relations

  • Experience in managing vehicle or boat parking


Logistics:

  • Location: #14-1211 Foreman Road, Port Carling, ON

  • Work Hours: Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (except August 3, extended to 11:00 PM)

  • Team breakfast at 7:30 AM lakeside before guests arrive

  • One 30-minute unpaid break each Sunday, two breaks on August 3

  • Paid training/setup day on Sunday, June 29, 2025
