Description:

Safe Software is seeking a Graphic Designer II to join its creative services team to produce innovative and impactful designs that enhance brand visibility and communicate messages effectively across diverse platforms. This position offers flexibility to work remotely across Canada (except Quebec), or onsite/hybrid in Surrey, BC.

As a Graphic Designer II, you will develop high-quality graphic content for digital campaigns, print materials, corporate communications, and other marketing initiatives aligned with strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with the creative and marketing teams, manage multiple projects, mentor junior designers, and bring fresh creative ideas to the team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce graphic materials for digital marketing campaigns, corporate communications, and print media.

  • Collaborate with team members to refine and execute creative concepts.

  • Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to brand guidelines.

  • Utilize advanced design tools and software to create visually appealing materials.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.

  • Research and implement new design techniques and stay updated with industry trends.

  • Participate in team meetings to review strategies and ongoing projects.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

  • Certifications/Training: Advanced training or certification in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

    • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.

    • Working knowledge of 3D design software (preferred for exhibit design).

    • Familiarity with video graphics and digital illustration.

    • Knowledge of digital and traditional print production processes.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

  • Unique Abilities: Creativity in conveying complex messages through design and ability to mentor junior designers.
