Forklift Operator

Description:

GLS Canada is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join its Brampton facility. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and are committed to maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and workplace safety during early morning shifts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trailers, handle materials, and support general warehouse operations while adhering to delivery timelines and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate propane and/or electric forklifts to load and unload trailers.

• Handle materials, pallets, and packages efficiently and safely.

• Maintain accuracy in loading and ensure compliance with delivery deadlines.

• Follow all workplace health and safety protocols and operational guidelines.

• Assist in general warehouse handling duties as required.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience driving and operating forklifts.

• Valid forklift certification (asset).

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to safety.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Reliable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts.

Work Schedule:

• Days: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM

• Location: 300 Biscayne Crescent, Brampton, Ontario (Rutherford & Steeles)
