Description:

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, is seeking a Financial Analyst for its Windsor, Ontario Hot Stamping Facility. The selected candidate will support the Plant Controller and play a crucial role in financial decision-making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include analyzing manufacturing costs, monitoring purchasing activity outcomes, preparing cost comparisons between budgets and actuals, and conducting audits and reconciliations. The analyst will manage and maintain the cost accounting system, ensure accurate payroll processing, conduct physical inventories, monitor cycle count programs, and provide detailed reports to management on profitability, cost variations, and expenditure controls. The role also requires involvement in month-end close activities and preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, strong knowledge of cost accounting systems, and exceptional analytical skills. Prior finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with a preference for automotive manufacturing exposure. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
