Description:
The Finance Project Manager manages a broad scope of regulatory, business, internal, and digital transformation projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Regulatory Projects: Adapt finance reporting to meet regulatory requirements from Head Office.
- Business Projects: Adapt finance systems to support new products or evolving business needs.
- Internal Finance Projects: Coordinate Finance teams to achieve internal goals and executive initiatives.
- Digital Projects: Automate and streamline Finance processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Gather and report project costing; identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop detailed project plans including documentation, testing protocols, timelines, and status metrics.
- Collect and analyze user requirements and business processes.
- Investigate data anomalies, identify root causes, and implement remediation plans.
- Provide leadership with relevant data to support strategic decision-making.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Project Management processes and workflows.
- Experience in business and systems analysis within financial services.
- Results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of banking products and services.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and summarize key findings.
- Strong communication skills across organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance or Accounting.
- PMP and/or Scrum Master certification is an asset.
