Field Service Representative

Danaher Life Sciences, through its subsidiary Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, is seeking a Field Service Representative to join its service team in Southwestern Ontario, covering Guelph and surrounding areas, including Northern Ontario. This is a vital client-facing role where you will deliver technical expertise, customer support, and service excellence to healthcare and laboratory clients.

The Field Service Representative (FSR) is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diagnostic instrumentation and systems across hospitals and laboratories. The role also involves conducting preventive maintenance, validating equipment, training customers, and ensuring optimal performance of diagnostic instruments to help improve patient outcomes.

This position offers the opportunity to travel within the district and across Canada, supporting customers with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, validation, and preventive maintenance on diagnostic instrumentation.

• Deliver exceptional customer service, providing technical training to clients and ensuring optimal instrument performance.

• Document service activities accurately and maintain compliance with company standards.

• Build strong customer relationships, becoming a trusted partner in their diagnostic operations.

• Travel extensively (up to 60%, including overnight) within the service territory and occasionally across Canada.

• Support continuous improvement by adapting to evolving diagnostic technologies.

Essential Requirements:

• Technical diploma or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant technical experience (field service preferred).

• Ability to travel within Canada and to/from the United States.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (past 3 years) and ability to meet Danaher’s safe driver criteria.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform movements including bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing/sitting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience servicing diagnostic instruments such as hematology, chemistry, immunochemistry, urinalysis, or lab automation systems.

• Prior experience in In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) instrumentation service.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range: CAD 75,000 – 85,000 annually (approx. CAD 6,250 – 7,083 per month).

• Eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.
