Mill Cove Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This practice is located in Bedford, just minutes away from downtown Dartmouth and is a short commute to central Halifax. This practice is comprised of 2 Family Physicians, a Dietician, 3 Pediatricians and an Allergist. This clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. The clinic is on the Med Access EMR and is entirely paperless.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
• Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
• Act as a patient’s advocate
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
