Description:
Amrize, a newly independent construction solutions leader listed on the NYSE and SIX Swiss Exchange, is actively hiring a Facility Supervisor to support its Geocycle operations at the Cement Plant in Pleasant Valley, NS. Amrize operates across 1,000+ sites in North America, contributing to infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects with advanced, branded solutions.
The Facility Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of both the pre-processing and liquid alternative fuel facilities at the Brookfield Plant. The role requires supervising a small team, managing production reporting, oil delivery documentation, and inventory management, while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise 3 hourly operators and ensure smooth pre-processing operations.
Oversee unloading of waste oils and maintain liquid fuel inventories.
Conduct regular reporting on alternative fuels, downtime, and inventory.
Schedule deliveries of feedstock, tires, consumables, and oil.
Perform laboratory fuel tests and maintain quality assurance systems.
Act as liaison between Geocycle operations and Amrize departments (Production, Process, Quality).
Uphold and promote strong safety culture across all tasks and site operations.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Grade 12 required; diploma in Mechanical, Environmental, Chemistry, or Maintenance preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in industrial plant/facility operations.
Certifications: Valid driver’s license; PPE and respirator compliance required.
Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Workspace, SAP applications.
Additional Assets:
Knowledge of oil offloading, laboratory testing (titration, bomb calorimetry), and waste/cement industry processes.
Familiarity with unionized environments.
Experience with shunt trucks, walking floor trailers, forklifts.
Understanding of hot work procedures and working at heights.
