Description:

OpenText is seeking a highly experienced and trusted Executive Assistant to provide strategic and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer. This role is critical to the success of the CEO and the broader executive leadership team, requiring exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate seamlessly in a fast-paced, global environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, polished, and confident, someone who anticipates needs, manages complexity with ease, and serves as a true thought partner to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO, including complex calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel planning across multiple time zones
  • Act as a trusted gatekeeper, managing priorities, communications, and competing demands with sound judgment and discretion
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for Board of Directors meetings, executive leadership meetings, investor-related activities, and key internal and external engagements
  • Draft, review, and edit correspondence, presentations, and briefing materials on behalf of the CEO
  • Partner closely with the CEO’s Chief of Staff, Executive Leadership Team, and other Executive Assistants to ensure alignment and follow-through
  • Support planning and execution of high-profile meetings, events, and off-sites, both virtual and in-person
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism and integrity
  • Anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues to ensure the CEO is optimally prepared and focused on top priorities
  • Continuously refine processes and ways of working to improve efficiency and effectiveness
     

Qualifications
 

  • 5-8 years of experience supporting C-level executives, preferably within a global, publicly traded organization
  • Proven ability to operate with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism in highly confidential situations
  • Exceptional organizational, strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives, Customers, Board members, and other key internal/external stakeholders
  • High level of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Concur (SAP)
  • The ability to be office-based in Waterloo or Toronto is required
