I Challenge Diabetes (ICD) is seeking a Donor Relations and Fundraising Manager to join its team and drive fundraising initiatives that empower people living with Type 1 diabetes. The role involves cultivating relationships with donors, managing campaigns, coordinating events, and leading volunteers. The manager will play a key role in helping ICD meet its financial targets while promoting awareness of the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop a pipeline of major donor prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

  • Effectively communicate ICD’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors.

  • Strategize and execute fundraising campaigns to meet annual revenue targets of $150K–$300K.

  • Plan and oversee fundraising events, managing teams of volunteers.

  • Supervise donor stewardship, ensuring accurate records are maintained using CRM and other tools (Kindful, Ticketspice, Slack, Google Sheets).

  • Coordinate with ICD program staff to align donor engagement with charitable program delivery.

  • Recognize major donors through personalized outreach.

  • Manage budget and track progress against fundraising goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing.

  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.

  • Leadership skills to motivate colleagues, donors, and volunteers.

  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and large-scale events.

  • Competence with donor management systems and multi-step communication plans.

  • Experience writing proposals, press releases, and fundraising letters.

Work Conditions and Compensation:

  • Rate of pay: $47,000–$60,000 per year, based on experience.

  • Full-time permanent role, 40 hours/week, flexible schedule.

  • Hybrid work: home office and travel for events/prospecting (~5% travel).

  • Health care benefits available after 3 months.

Evaluation Metrics:

  • Strategic program development, including signature events and volunteer engagement.

  • Effective donor prospecting, stewardship, and communication.

  • Revenue growth from donors, sponsors, and events, achieving $150K–$300K in new annual revenue.
