Responsibilities
Key accountabilities of the Division Director will include but will not be limited to academic leadership of the Division of Geriatric Medicine, clinical leadership of the Section of Geriatric Medicine, including close collaboration with the Division of Care of the Elderly and clinical management of Care of the Elderly physicians at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital site. The post holder is also responsible for the development of the strategic direction of the clinical alternative relationship plan for specialized geriatric services for the Edmonton zone, in collaboration with its clinical authorized representatives.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an MD (or equivalent) with certification in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) have a recognized research and educational scholarship portfolio in a relevant area of Geriatric Medicine.
