Description:
We are seeking a results-oriented team player to join us in the fulltime hourly role of Distribution Lead Hand. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control and distribution management of crop protection and crop input products at our distribution center in Summerside, PE.
Job Responsibilities
- Inventory control and distribution management of crop protection and crop input products.
- Shipping and Receiving of chemical and fertilizers in and out of the distribution center.
- Ensures customer deliveries and intra McCain shipments are created and delivered on time.
- Updates inventory information & create delivery or transfer documents. Ensuring accuracy of information and data.
- Receives orders from Sales team and works with the Shipper/Receiver and Delivery Driver to prepare and fulfill the order.
- Active member of the JHSC, and manage the safety culture at the distribution center.
- Other tasks as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications & Experiences
- Experience with shipping and receiving.
- Proven ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a non-Domestic Pesticide Vendor Certificate.
- Experience in operating a forklift.
- Experience with agricultural crop inputs would be considered an asset.
- Ability to lift 25 Kg.
- Excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
- Solutions-oriented and customer focused.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast past environment.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Other Information
- Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends during peak seasons.
- Must be able to operate effectively without onsite supervision.
- Hourly Rate of pay $26 - 28 per hour with Benefits.
