Director Of Sales

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Director of Sales to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the President, the Director of Sales is accountable for developing and executing the strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. They will be responsible for managing a team of sales engineers and product managers along with a global distributor network, developing and cultivating relationships directly with clients to understand needs, and providing a level of support that consistently exceeds expectations. They will be skilled in understanding category-specific landscapes and trends and reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts. This role works in collaboration with research and development, production, and service departments toward the achievement of short to long-term operational and departmental objectives. They will work collaboratively with other members of the senior leadership team in providing captaincy for NOVONIX's vision, mission, and core values.

As the ideal candidate, you possess 8+ years of sales executive experience and meeting or exceeding targets. Strong interpersonal skills including tact, influence, and ability to establish rapport with customers will be key to success in this role. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, articulate the distinct aspects of products and services, position products against competitors, and display diplomacy across many stakeholder audiences are critical skills required. With exceptional attention to detail, communication, and presentation skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Communication, or related field is required. A Master's Degree will be preferred.
