Devops Specialist

Description:

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Specialist to join its Enterprise Applications Delivery Team within the Governance and Engineering division of Technology and Infrastructures (T&I). This role is essential in supporting the broadcaster’s transformation into a modern digital media company. You’ll work from the Montreal or Toronto office in a hybrid capacity.

As a DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and automating CI/CD pipelines for both on-premise and cloud infrastructures, supporting deployments of C# (.NET Framework/Core) and Python applications. Your expertise will help improve productivity, automation, and secure software delivery processes across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Automate and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure (cloud and on-prem).

• Provide infrastructure support and implement monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems.

• Collaborate with DevOps peers, application architects, and development teams to standardize and improve release management.

• Support cloud provisioning and deprovisioning using tools such as Azure CLI, Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.

• Ensure secure development practices and documentation for all processes and platforms.

• Assist in architectural design, automation APIs, and contribute to enterprise DevOps strategy.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps role.

• Proficiency in C#, Python, Powershell, PowerCLI, and Git tools (Bitbucket/GitHub).

• Strong knowledge of Azure (or AWS/Google Cloud), Linux/UNIX/Windows systems, and virtualization (VMWare).

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.

• Infrastructure and networking expertise including firewalls, routing, VPNs, and monitoring systems.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Agile mindset; SCRUM certification is an asset.

• Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset.
