The Portfolio:

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Supervisor Development Engineering is responsible
for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Development Engineering Division of the Public
Works Department’s Engineering Section. This division is responsible for providing engineering
review and administration for all development related applications from commencement (pre-
consultation) to implementation (construction) to final completion (deficiency review, certification
and final assumption). This includes Site Plan, Subdivision, Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-
law Amendment, Draft Plan of Subdivision, Draft Plan Condition, Site Alteration, Building Permit
circulation and Committee of Adjustment applications.

The Supervisor Development Engineering is expected to provide effective leadership and
guidance within the division working collaboratively with the Manager of Engineering and other
divisional leaders, in promoting a strong, resilient team, who delivers excellent customer service
to the community. The Supervisor will also work collaboratively with inter/intra-departmental
stakeholders to support a collaborative, high-functioning corporate team.
