Hey LinkedIn network! 🚀 Are you ready to dive into a challenging and rewarding role in the dynamic world of industrial real estate? Robert Half is on the hunt for a talented Accountant to join our client's team for a 6-month contract – with the potential to extend or go permanent!

🗓 Duration: 6 month contract - potential to extend longer/go permanent!
📍 Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario (hybrid - 3 days per week in office)

Major Responsibilities:
🔥 Financial Ownership: Manage financial statements, ensure the accuracy of G/L accounts, and communicate key milestones effectively
🔥 Job Costing & Forecasting: Analyze costs to date, reallocate budgets, and forecast upcoming project needs
🔥 Portfolio Oversight: Work on a large industrial property portfolio, including construction loans across multiple properties in various stages of development
🔥 Reconciliations & Reporting: Review invoices, draft accruals, reconcile accounts, and deliver accurate financial reporting to project stakeholders

Requirements:
✔️ 3+ years of Accounting experience
✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills 🎤
✔️ Proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 🔎
✔️ Financial statement, reconciliation, month-end, and forecasting experience 🧾
✔️ Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) 📊
✔️ Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a preference for candidates actively pursuing their CPA designation 🏆
💡 Bonus points for previous project accounting or real estate development exposure, but we're excited about driven candidates who love learning and growing their skills! 🔑
