Customer Service Oriented Biologist

The Right Candidate will have hybrid skills and knowledge. We are seeking a mature individual with a post secondary degree in the natural sciences (forest entomology, biology, chemistry) that has experience using those skills in an office environment. This is a customer facing roll that requires the successful candidate be comfortable talking with customers and using scientific terminology (biology and chemistry) to get the information required to create a quote and generate a sales order for our specialty products. We are looking for someone with great software skills and previous experience with MS Office suite, Quickbooks and others. This is a small business so the job will be multi-faceted and not limited to just customer service. We expect our staff to be experts in their field and also be willing to take on other tasks required to “get the job done”. As we are a small group with overlapping but distinct expertise in our fields, it will be important to be able to work well with and learn from others in a team environment.

The Role Required:

• Serve as a contact via email and telephone for customer communications.
• Possess an excellent phone manner and knowledge of scientific jargon in chemistry, entomology and biology.
• Gather “all” customer information required to process a quote quickly and accurately.
• Refer customers internally for technical support as required.
• Process quotes and sales orders using Quick Books.
• Enhance and protect existing clientele through customer relationship building.
• Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Liaise with scientists, researchers and lay people about their needs and our products.
• Learn and maintain current knowledge of Synergy products and services.
• Support manufacturing, packaging and shipping work as required.
