Description:
MBW Courier Inc., a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is a leading provider in the transportation industry, offering exceptional courier services, light LTL transport, and third-party logistics across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. The company is seeking a dedicated, safety-focused, and customer-oriented NSHA Courier Driver for a part-time on-call role. This position guarantees 20 hours per week, but requires flexible availability to work days, nights, and weekends based on operational needs.
The NSHA Courier Driver will be responsible for picking up and delivering a wide variety of items to different destinations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and ensuring a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior. The role involves handling and lifting shipments weighing up to 50–75 lbs, loading and unloading deliveries using various methods and equipment, and utilizing technology to map routes, track shipments, and communicate with the dispatch team. Drivers will be expected to maintain accurate paperwork, ensure proper inventory for timely deliveries, and uphold a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick up and deliver a range of shipments to multiple locations.
Perform vehicle inspections and follow company safety policies.
Maintain a clean vehicle interior and ensure proper documentation.
Load and unload packages using appropriate delivery tools.
Use technology for routing, tracking, and communication.
Accurately complete and submit daily reports and paperwork.
Maintain delivery supplies for efficient service.
Deliver with courtesy, professionalism, and strong customer service.
Operate a company-supplied MBW Courier vehicle strictly for work purposes.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of delivery driving experience (mandatory).
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Must be 21 years or older.
High school diploma required.
Knowledge of courier operations is considered an asset.
Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent work ethic, safety commitment, and teamwork attitude.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Clean criminal record check.
