Union Film Group is seeking a Wardrobe Stylist to collaborate with our directors, costume designers, and production team in creating visually compelling wardrobe selections that align with the tone and narrative of our short drama productions. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of character portrayal through fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with directors and producers to understand the narrative, setting, and character arcs to develop wardrobe selections that enhance storytelling.
- Source, design, and curate wardrobe pieces that align with the artistic vision of each character and the overall production aesthetic.
- Ensure proper fitting of all garments and accessories, prioritizing comfort, movement, and visual impact.
- Manage wardrobe budgets, sourcing and purchasing wardrobe pieces efficiently while staying within allocated costs.
- Oversee wardrobe logistics, including organization, inventory management, and maintenance of costumes throughout production.
- Be present on set to oversee wardrobe styling, manage costume changes, and make necessary adjustments for continuity and comfort.
- Create mood boards and style references to visually communicate wardrobe concepts to the creative team.
- Stay updated with fashion trends, vintage styles, and cultural influences to bring fresh and authentic wardrobe designs to each production.
