Controls Engineer

Description:

CyberCoders is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join its team in Windsor, Ontario. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for advanced manufacturing and automation processes specifically within the automotive sector. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and production teams to enhance production performance, streamline systems, and ensure optimal functionality of control equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust control systems for automotive manufacturing processes.

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces).

• Work with automation and production teams to optimize manufacturing efficiency.

• Validate and test control systems to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

• Offer technical support and train production personnel in the operation of control systems.

• Analyze system performance data to identify and resolve inefficiencies or faults.

• Maintain thorough documentation related to control system configurations, updates, and changes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field (preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Controls or Automation Engineer.

• Proficient in PLC programming and HMI development.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, especially within the automotive industry.

• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes is an advantage.

• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
