Description:

Reporting to the VP finance, the controller is responsible for assisting in activities related to financial accounting and administration and supervise a team.

Manage the accounting and finance functions strategically

- Manage the finance team

- Oversee property accounting

- Manage sales taxes, payroll, banking relationships

- Oversee year end audits

- Hire, train and retain staff

- Coordinate and carry out the financial planning and budgeting process

- Ensure internal controls in place

- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports of monthly results

Competence

- CPA accounting designation an asset

- 5+ years of experience

- Hands-on

- Bilingual

- Experience in real estate is an asset
