Description:
As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Manage retail, financial, and commercial interior fit-out projects from start to finish.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects across Canada (typically $100K–$5M).
- Coordinate all GC activities including trades, schedules, submittals, permits, inspections, and close-outs.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
- Prepare project budgets, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Ensure safety, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
- Resolve site issues quickly to keep projects moving.
- Conduct regular project reporting and cost tracking.
- Support estimating with take-offs and tender coordination as required.
- Represent Prodigy’s brand with professionalism and high-quality service.
- Promote and champion Prodigy’s Health & Safety and Environmental Standards at all times.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and suppliers.
- Provide leadership and oversight regarding scheduling, planning, cost management, quality management, safety, and contractual obligations.
- Implement risk management strategies and corrective actions to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with company and contract requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Superintendents to support effective site management and project delivery.
- Foster positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years of experience with a General Contractor in retail, corporate, financial, or commercial interior fit-outs.
- Experience delivering projects up to $5M, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Must be fully bilingual in French and English.
- Proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with GC coordination, trade management, scheduling, procurement, and site execution.
- Solid understanding of permits, inspections, phasing, and working in occupied spaces.
- Experience with rollouts, retail programs, or national account clients.
- Familiarity with Construction Management and Stipulated Sum contract models.
- Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Jonas (or similar), and MS Office.
- Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Must have exceptional client-management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines effectively.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to persevere through challenges.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated experience in effective conflict resolution.
