NAIT’S Digital Media and IT (DMIT) Computer Software Development concentration (CSD) program is a 2-year diploma program delivered over 4 semesters of 15 weeks each. Students will learn how to:

• Apply principles of software architecture, design patterns, and industry best practices to build applications in multiple programming languages.
• Create, manage, and operate data storage systems, and manipulate, visualize, and analyze data.
• Create, maintain, and test original and existing software solutions and systems.
• Use a variety of frameworks and protocols to develop dynamic and engaging user interfaces and experiences across diverse platforms.
• Demonstrate conduct, collaboration, and ethical practices in alignment with workplace expectations and industry standards.

Our software developer concentration will prepare our graduates for a range of career opportunities, including full-stack developer, software developer, enterprise application developer, backend application developer, data analyst, mobile applications developer, and software programmer.
