Central Operations Support Analyst

 

Description:

IT Link Group’s Ciao team is hiring a Central Operations Support Analyst responsible for executing and organizing operations tasks related to central software management and supporting maintenance and evolution of central applications. The role can be performed independently or as part of a team and involves handling tasks across production environments, software releases, system monitoring, and supporting IT and architecture staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage central production, including planning and executing tasks on mainframe systems.

  • Perform sampling, studies, and validation of automated processes.

  • Participate in testing and deployment of new software versions, ensuring traceability and reliability.

  • Ensure production readiness of applications across various environments (production, certification, acceptance, training).

  • Propose technology orientations and process standards.

  • Manage report distribution and archiving software (EOS).

  • Support database management activities and central applications using technologies such as CA-IDEAL.

  • Assist IT staff and architects when central server operations are involved in projects.

  • Analyze and validate impact and change assessments affecting mainframe software.

  • Ensure availability of live transactions across networks.

  • Perform programming according to specifications provided by responsible analysts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7 years of IT experience in mainframe operations (IBM/z/OS).

  • Proficiency in French.

  • 3 years of experience with z/OS technical support tools: Assembler, JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, CLIST, and TSS security.

  • 3 years of experience with relational databases on z/OS.

  • 3 years experience with CICS teleprocessing software.

  • Knowledge of COBOL, Assembler, CA-IDEAL, CLIST, and REXX.

  • 3 years experience with central application software in at least 4 of the following:

    • Development tools (Abend-Aid/FX, Xpediter/CICS, etc.)

    • Job scheduling (CA-7)

    • Magnetic space management software (CA-TLMS, FDR/ABR)

    • I/O manager (EOS)

    • List managers (File-Aid/MVS, CA-Librarian)

    • Total, Supra-PDM

    • DATACOM/DB, CA-IDEAL
