Description:
We are seeking a Casual Mine Haul Truck Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Casual Mine Haul Truck Operator is responsible for safely and productively operating a Mine Haul Truck.
This local based position offers a schedule of 24 hours per week, consisting of two 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the Large Mine Haul Truck in a safe and efficient way in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Perform Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Cleaning operator cabin and refilling equipment fluids as required.
- Complete logbooks and daily reports on safety issues and production.
- Accurately track all load’s sources, and destinations.
- Use two-way-radio, horn, and light signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety.
- Use the Mine Haul Truck according to operating practices, policies, and procedures to haul materials such as sand, aggregates, blasted rock, and snow to various locations on the mine site.
- Monitor gauges, and other indicators to ensure the mine haul truck is working properly, report discrepancies.
Required Experience & Skill Set
- Previous industrial experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.

Certifications
- Valid Ontario G1, equivalent or higher driver's licence.
- Common Core for Surface Mining is an asset.
