Capability Transformation Lead

 

Description:

The Salvation Army in Canada, a faith- and values-based organization serving communities for over 130 years, is seeking an experienced HR Capability Transformation Lead to drive strategic HR transformation initiatives. This role focuses on leveraging HR strategy, technology, process, and policy to deliver organizational value while enhancing employee experience and workforce capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR Transformation Strategy, aligning short- and long-term initiatives with organizational mission and values.

  • Act as a Strategic Advisor to HR and business leaders, ensuring alignment of HR priorities with organizational goals.

  • Drive Solution Delivery by evaluating and implementing scalable HR technology solutions (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow).

  • Champion Change Management, overcoming resistance and fostering innovation.

  • Design and enhance HR processes and policies to improve the employee lifecycle and experience.

  • Enable Future Workforce Capabilities by identifying necessary HR tools, capabilities, and leadership roles.

  • Lead Project Management and Governance, including planning, budgeting, and execution.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, architecture, and operations teams to align initiatives with enterprise goals.

  • Stay informed on HR tech trends, including AI and digital innovation, to recommend relevant strategies.

  • Promote Cultural Proficiency, ensuring transformation initiatives are culturally aligned and sustainable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s an asset).

  • CHRP Certification required.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in HR transformation and implementation of major HRIS/LMS.

  • Experience with Workday and ServiceNow considered an asset.

  • Proven ability to build strategic partnerships, manage governance frameworks, and develop leaders and staff.

  • Strong strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Benefits & Work Environment:

  • Competitive compensation within the range of CA$135102.26–168877.83, up to a maximum of CA$202653.39, based on experience and qualifications.
