Business Systems Analyst

Direct IT Recruiting Inc. is hiring a Bilingual Business Systems Analyst for a 6-month hybrid contract position based in Montreal, Quebec, with a work arrangement of 2 days per week on-site. The role is suited for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business analysis, particularly within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or supply chain sectors.

The analyst will play a key role in bridging business needs and technical solutions by gathering and analyzing requirements, modeling business processes, creating user documentation, and supporting project execution. The ideal candidate is fluent in both French and English, familiar with Agile/SCRUM methodologies, and has strong expertise in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Azure, SQL, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements. Translate them into actionable specifications for development teams.

• Process & Data Analysis: Examine current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Documentation: Write user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and maintain project documentation using JIRA, Confluence, and Miro.

• Quality Assurance & Testing: Assist in test strategy development, test case creation, and execution. Ensure that deliverables meet both business needs and compliance requirements.

• Project Support: Participate in project planning and execution, manage risk, track progress, and ensure delivery within defined scope and timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

• 7 to 10+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst

• Strong knowledge of Agile SCRUM and SDLC methodologies

• Proficiency in business process modeling, data analysis, and reporting

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or supply chain domains (preferred)

• Familiarity with cloud modernization initiatives using Azure

• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product Owners)

• Strong problem-solving skills and leadership without formal authority

• Hands-on experience with SQL

• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Smartsheet, Excel

• Fluent in both written and spoken French and English

Preferred Certifications:

• Agile Certification (a plus)

• CBAP Certification (a plus)
