Description:
Stafingo is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale Central Waitlist Management initiative for FY26-27. This initiative focuses on enhancing and integrating provincial digital health assets and datasets to create a centralized data source, providing real-time visibility into patient surgical journeys and health system capacity.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and user-centred design experience to translate complex requirements into actionable functional specifications for APIs, web applications, and digital health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate patient portal specifications into actionable business requirements to support program foundations.
- Lead and conduct business analysis across varying levels of project complexity to assess problems, opportunities, and solutions.
- Apply process re-engineering concepts to improve business outcomes and optimize cost-effective service delivery.
- Develop strategies, business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making.
- Conduct requirements gathering using structured methodologies, including:
- Business process modeling, use case modeling, and conceptual and logical data modelling
- Data flow analysis, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements capture
- Engage stakeholders (clinical, technical, and business) to understand needs and document requirements clearly.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to Project Managers and stakeholders.
- Support the design and development of processes and products that facilitate the secure exchange of health information.
- Prepare documentation, presentations, and briefing notes, and ensure knowledge transfer to Agency teams before engagement ends.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience eliciting requirements for software APIs and integration processes; translating them into detailed functional specifications.
- 8–10 years of experience eliciting requirements for web applications, including user interfaces, and translating them into detailed functional specifications.
- 5+ years of experience with human-centred design (HCD) processes, user experience principles, and techniques.
- 5+ years of experience with API message standardization (HL7-FHIR preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in project management, process documentation, and implementation in an Agile environment (sprint management).
- College/University degree in Health, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems used in Ontario, with experience working on healthcare implementation and deployment projects.
- Proven experience collaborating with clinicians and healthcare professionals.
- Strong ability to translate business and data requirements into technology specifications.
- Knowledge of change management, workflow redesign, and business process integration in healthcare contexts.
- Understanding of privacy legislation: HPPA, FIPPA, PHIPA, and Health Information Custodian (HIC) requirements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products, with a preference for experience in Microsoft-based cloud tools.
