Description:

Alexander Dennis, a global leader in the design and manufacture of double-deck buses and a key member of the NFI Group, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BOM Controller to join their North American Procurement team in Winnipeg, MB. This on-site role plays a crucial part in ensuring the financial accuracy, cost control, and regulatory compliance of all Bill of Material (BOM) activities related to vehicle production.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience from the manufacturing sector, specifically in materials management, ERP systems, and cost analysis. The role demands a strategic and diligent professional capable of maintaining strict control over BOM costs, identifying unauthorized cost increases, and contributing to efficiency initiatives through detailed analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze BOM costs for all North American vehicle platforms and customers

• Report weekly BOM cost changes, highlighting magnitude and responsible stakeholders

• Ensure BOM system costs consistently reflect accurate, approved supplier pricing

• Validate cost savings across platforms and customer-specific BOMs

• Maintain proper documentation for all BOM cost increases, ensuring approval and compliance

• Prepare and deliver monthly KPI packs reflecting approved BOM cost movements

• Support the tendering and cost of production processes with up-to-date cost data

• Prepare Buy America submissions using verified BOMs when required

• Promote and model company values and safety-first culture across all responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of Buy America regulations and compliance procedures

• Strong understanding of BOM structures and classification systems

• Extensive experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and reporting capabilities

• Analytical mindset with a drive to reduce costs and improve processes

• Ability to influence stakeholders through communication and problem-solving skills
