Audio Visual Cad Drafter

Description:

Diversified, a global leader in audio visual and media innovation, is seeking a skilled Audio Visual CAD Drafter to join their team remotely in Toronto, ON. This role involves working on large-scale and immersive installations for clients spanning media, retail, sports, corporate enterprises, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in AutoCAD, with experience in architectural drafting and an aptitude for preparing highly detailed installation drawings.

As a CAD Drafter, you will collaborate with Design Engineers to create, modify, and update detailed architectural audio visual drawings, including elevations, floor plans, and reflected ceiling plans. You will also support centralized drawing standards, manage project deliverables, and contribute to the block library. Success in this role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management, and effective communication skills to work seamlessly in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural audio visual infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD.

• Create, modify, and update elevations, floor plans, and reflected ceiling plans.

• Manage version control and maintain proper documentation of all drawings.

• Support Diversified’s drawing standards and contribute to the block library.

• Coordinate delivery and receipt of CAD deliverables.

• Conduct Sight Line Studies and participate in ongoing training for AutoCAD and Revit.

• Provide schedule projections and regular progress updates.

Qualifications & Skills

• Infocomm CTS certification (required within the first year of employment).

• Minimum 1 year experience in a CAD Operator role; audio visual experience preferred.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit is an asset.

• Strong knowledge of architectural design elements (floor plans, elevations, sections, etc.).

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely using video and audio conferencing.

• High level of attention to detail with effective time management skills.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
