What you will do:

As the Assistant Park Manager, the successful candidate will be supporting the Park Manager with the following:

  • Overseeing daily Park operations, including supervising, scheduling, and training staff
  • Planning and delivering tourism, education, and recreational programs
  • Managing facilities, including security, retail, rentals, and maintenance
  • Contributing to business development and infrastructure projects
  • Enforcing Park policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations

 

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in preparing budgets, monitoring spending, and allocating resources effectively
  • Supporting inventory management, financial reporting, and statistical data analysis
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of safety and risk management strategies
  • Supporting environmental conservation, habitat restoration, and sustainability projects
  • Addressing visitor questions, feedback, and complaints

  • Experience in operations, human resources, communications, and financial planning

 

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

 

Required Competencies:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, environmental management, natural resource management, parks and recreation or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience and financial management OR a post-secondary diploma in business administration, environmental management, natural resource management, parks and recreation or a related field and a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience and financial management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
