Description:
A rapidly expanding high-tech organization is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Controller to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and playing a critical role in financial reporting and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical accounting foundation, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities with efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, inventory, and other transactional processes.
Review and oversee monthly financial close procedures, including general ledger reconciliations and journal entry approvals.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
Assist with external year-end audit processes by ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Coordinate with Human Resources to manage payroll operations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support the company’s financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
Enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
CPA designation completed or in progress.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or tech environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as ASPE and/or IFRS.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Compensation & Benefits:
Monthly salary between $7916 and $8750 (annual: $95,000 – $105,000).
