Description:
As a Contract Administrator, you’ll play a key role in translating great design into built reality. You’ll be deeply involved in construction-phase delivery, acting as a trusted liaison between the design team, consultants, contractors, and clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Construction Phase: Conduct regular site visits and work closely with contractors, construction managers, sub-trades, and client representatives to ensure projects are executed as intended.
- Own the Contract Process: Manage change orders, review payment applications, oversee contract documentation, and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Problem-Solve in Real Time: Collaborate with architects and technical teams to address RFIs, shop drawings, deficiencies, and field issues efficiently and professionally.
- Support Landmark Projects: Contribute to the successful delivery of meaningful public and institutional projects that make a lasting impact on communities.
- Maintain Clarity & Accuracy: Prepare clear, thorough project records, reports, and correspondence to keep all stakeholders aligned throughout construction.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Diploma or certification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Experience:
- 4+ years in an architectural environment
- At least 2 years in contract administration, site coordination, or construction-phase project support
- Junior candidates with exposure to CA duties are encouraged to apply
- Senior and highly experienced CAs are equally welcome — this role is flexible by level
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office; confident reviewing and marking up shop drawings.
- Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working across disciplines and communicating with diverse project teams.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, professional, and confident when dealing with consultants, contractors, and clients.
