Application Production Support

Description:

HireTalent is currently seeking an experienced Bilingual Application Production Support Engineer (L3) to join a leading client in Montreal on a 24-month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite weekly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering production support and coordinating with development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application and environment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Level 1 and Level 2 production support

• Coordinate with Level 3 support, development, and infrastructure teams for timely issue resolution and root cause analysis

• Proactively monitor application environments, middleware, and databases to ensure stability

• Log incidents in management systems with detailed root cause analysis and performance metrics

• Liaise with upstream/downstream support teams to manage data flows and dependencies

• Document procedures and processes to maintain operational consistency

• Manage software/hardware updates, upgrades, and patching in coordination with project teams

Release, Maintenance & Projects:

• Participate in release validation across staging and production

• Support release deployment, post-release testing, and communication

• Contribute to DRP (Disaster Recovery Planning) and BCP (Business Continuity Planning) exercises

• Assist in infrastructure events, server patching, application migrations, upgrades, and cloud transitions

Technical Skills Required:

• Systems: UNIX, Linux, Windows

• Databases: ElasticSearch, Postgres, Oracle, SQL

• Tools: Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Autosys, Jenkins, Geneos

• Scripting: Python, Perl, PowerShell

• Protocols: CFT, FTP, SFTP
