Accounting Technician

Description:

Kirk Wormley Professional Corporation, a well-established CPA/CA firm near Chinook Mall, Calgary, is seeking a skilled Accounting Technician to support its taxation and business development services. The firm has over 20 years of experience serving small businesses, incorporated professionals, and trades, and is looking for an Accounting Technician to assist in providing excellent service to its clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in client accounting and taxation services

• Prepare and review financial statements and records

• Perform bookkeeping tasks using software such as Caseware/Caseview, Cantax/Taxprep, Profile, QuickBooks, or Simply Accounting

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members

• Work independently while collaborating with the firm as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA firm

• Proficiency with Caseware/Caseview, Cantax/Taxprep, Profile, QuickBooks, and Simply Accounting is an asset

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently
