skills for life.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Community Programs and Services.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Identify, create and manage delivering programs that support underrepresented groups,
- Develop programming geared to newcomer adults and youth,
- Recruit, supervise, actively mentor and train staff and volunteers,
- Encourage and promote lifelong learning and healthy lifestyles,
- Actively recruit and engage members,
- Support program delivery when needed,
- Develop relationships with community partners,
- Manage program budgets,
- Maintain professional relationships with, peers, members, volunteers.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A commitment to the Club’s mission, vision and values
- A university or college degree in recreation, child and youth work, education or a related
field
- Extensive knowledge and experience in youth program implementation and supervision
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to contribute to the creation of
positive team and workplace dynamic
- Demonstrated empathy, approachability and an understanding of others
- Successful experience working with a diverse population
- Well organized and able to streamline, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Effectively
- Availably to work afternoons, evenings and some weekends
- This position requires the successful candidate to provide a Police reference check and
be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (2 doses) as a condition of employment
