St. Paul’s United Church in Saskatoon, SK is actively seeking a passionate and dynamic Worship Arts Minister to lead their growing church's worship arts and technology ministries. The role is central to fulfilling their mission of growing together in Jesus Christ to transform lives and make a meaningful impact in the world. Worship is at the heart of St. Paul’s identity, propelling the congregation to participate actively in God's mission.

The ideal candidate is a spiritually mature, musically gifted, and people-centered leader who can drive a transformational renewal in worship. This individual should be energized by contemporary worship, enthusiastic about mentoring others, and committed to building an inclusive, Christ-centered, and vibrant worship environment.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Worship Leadership:

  • Design and lead Sunday worship services in collaboration with the Holy Spirit.

  • Animate the worship life of the church through planning and team development.

  • Lead and empower worship and tech teams to create emotionally resonant and spiritually dynamic experiences.

  • Ensure worship is charismatic, contemporary, community-building, and Christ-centered.

2. Volunteer Mentorship and Care:

  • Mentor, equip, and disciple worship and tech volunteers.

  • Provide pastoral support to volunteers and nurture their spiritual growth and leadership.

  • Foster a strong sense of belonging, encouragement, and teamwork.

3. Church Culture and Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with church staff and leadership to advance the overall mission and vision of St. Paul’s.

  • Actively support the church’s culture of inclusion, justice, and radical hospitality.

  • Seek innovative ways to use worship as a tool for evangelism and community engagement.

Job Conditions & Benefits:

  • Hours: 12 hours/week (with annual review; potential expansion based on church needs and individual skillset).

  • Compensation: CAD 25–30/hour, plus a 5% performance incentive.

  • Monthly Income (based on 12 hrs/week): CAD 1200 to 1440

  • Vacation: 4 weeks/year.

  • Wellness Allowance: Provided to support your self-care and well-being.

  • Technology Allowance: Offered to help cover personal tech needs related to work.

  • Professional Development: Includes paid time off and financial allowance for continued learning.

  • Sabbatical: Eligible after 5 years—2 months sabbatical in addition to vacation time.


Additional Notes:

  • The position is a lay employee role reporting directly to the Lead Minister.
