Description:

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Wealth Associate to join its growing Fidelity Wealth division, a new wealth management service aimed at supporting financial advisors during succession and retirement planning. This full-time role is based in Toronto, ON with a hybrid work model and requires strong experience in wealth operations, client onboarding, and portfolio administration.

As a Wealth Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless onboarding and servicing of clients. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple client portfolios efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Advisor Support and Client Onboarding

  • Work closely with Advisors to fulfill client needs quickly and accurately

  • Prepare client documentation including applications, forms, and letters using digital tools

  • Track and coordinate onboarding and account openings ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Follow up on incomplete documentation and execute investment instructions

  • Support advisors with administrative and operational aspects of client servicing

Sales Support and Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems

  • Customize and prepare reports, proposals, presentations, and meeting agendas

  • Assist in executing wealth strategies by managing daily operational activities

  • Respond to client inquiries professionally and timely, including cash management requests

Administration

  • Coordinate with custodians regarding account openings, fund transfers, and daily reconciliations

  • Manage complex onboarding for new advisors, which can include hundreds of clients

  • Stay updated with financial regulations and industry practices

  • Work cross-functionally with operations, compliance, marketing, and other internal teams

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of relevant wealth management operations experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in financial planning and with portfolio management tools

  • Familiarity with systems like Dataphile, uniFide, and Salesforce is preferred

  • Must have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practice Handbook (CPH)

  • Licensed as Investment Representative (IR) or Registered Representative (RR)

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills

  • Deep understanding of KYC/AML regulatory requirements

  • A collaborative, detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities
