Vue.js Developer

Description:

Direct IT Recruiting Inc. is actively seeking a highly experienced Vue.js Developer to join a critical project for a leading Canadian banking client. This opportunity is a 6-month contract position offering a hybrid work model, with the selected candidate expected to work onsite in Toronto two days per week.

The selected developer will be part of an elite front-end development team responsible for delivering enterprise-level web applications. You will be entrusted with the full life cycle of development, including conceptualizing innovative front-end solutions, leading technical implementation, writing scalable and maintainable code, and performing rigorous testing to ensure performance and reliability.

You will be working in a fast-paced, Agile-driven environment alongside designers, back-end developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-impact, user-centered financial applications. Your input will influence architectural and design decisions, as well as shape the front-end development strategy across multiple projects.

This role requires a keen eye for design detail, the ability to optimize performance across various devices and browsers, and an unwavering commitment to writing clean, efficient, and testable code. A strong understanding of accessibility standards and DevOps practices is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in the front-end development of modern web applications using Vue.js

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and translate them into technical requirements and front-end deliverables

• Implement intuitive, responsive, and accessible UI components adhering to best practices and performance guidelines

• Engage in Agile development activities such as daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making

• Write and maintain high-quality unit tests and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and stability

• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies using tools like QUnit, Jasmine, Chai, or Cypress

• Use Git for version control, code review, and collaborative development

• Stay updated on emerging front-end technologies and propose enhancements to development processes

• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and resolve deployment issues
