Much of what is available to the average Canadian investor today is outdated and expensive. Purpose Investments’ goal is to constantly innovate, and make investing simple, intuitive, and affordable for everyone.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a cross-functional team to develop a strategic vision and roadmap to grow the fixed income and cash franchise in our target distribution channels: Product management:

• Understanding of investment objectives, portfolio management, performance, and development.
• Delivery of key outcomes such as AUM, regulatory product governance requirements, sustainability, and competitive analysis.
• Provide recommendations on how our strategies fit into advisor’s portfolios.
• Maintenance and development of an effective set of KPIs to grow the fixed-income and cash franchises.

2. Responsible for delivering the key messages around the investment process, and portfolio construction and providing insights to the sales team and clients.

3. Train and educate key internal teams (sales teams, portfolio management, and marketing) on products, and communicate any changes to our lineup.

4. Ensure our products meet all legal and regulatory requirements, including prospectus renewals, MRFPs, etc.

5. Lead efforts to provide Purpose Unreasonable Service Plan for our clients.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of total professional experience, of which 5+ years involved performing many of the above functions at an asset management firm or another entrepreneurial setting.
• Experience with Fixed Income (Investment grade, High Yield, private credit)
• CFA designation and a quant background are considered an asset.
• Have a passion for investing, bonus points in the fixed income space.
• Must demonstrate independent time management, strategic thinking, organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while solving complex problems.
