Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto, a division of NVA Canada, is seeking a highly skilled Small Animal Internist to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a residency-trained or board-certified internist looking to contribute to a growing 24-hour emergency and referral hospital that prides itself on quality care, collaboration, and innovation in veterinary medicine.
The facility is a state-of-the-art, 9,000+ square foot hospital, purpose-renovated to provide a full spectrum of advanced emergency and surgical services. The internist will work alongside experienced veterinarians, surgeons, and support staff in a collegial and supportive environment that promotes continuous learning and work-life balance.
Provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care for small animal internal medicine cases.
Collaborate with emergency, surgical, and other specialty teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Communicate effectively with clients, referring veterinarians, and internal staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
Contribute to case discussions, ongoing education, and hospital improvement initiatives.
Maintain medical records and ensure high standards of patient care in line with hospital protocols.

Equipped with IDEXX in-house analyzers, digital radiography, ultrasound, and multi-parameter monitoring systems.
CT scanner installation planned in the near future.

DVM degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Residency training or board certification in Internal Medicine (ACVIM or equivalent).
