Description:

Caseware, a leading Canadian fintech company with over 30 years of innovation in the audit and accounting software industry, is seeking an Intermediate UX Designer (UX-II) to join their dynamic Design Team. The successful candidate will help shape exceptional user experiences for cloud-based audit, financial reporting, and data analytics solutions used by over 500,000 professionals globally.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Toronto, with a requirement to be in-office 3 days a week. The role demands a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, design systems, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to transform complex business and financial concepts into intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design user-centric experiences through wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate and improve design outcomes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into design deliverables

  • Maintain and contribute to the evolution of the design system

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including interaction models, user flows, and specs

  • Participate in design critiques and offer constructive feedback

  • Resolve customer-impacting design challenges effectively and efficiently

  • Stay up to date with design tools, trends, and industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • 2–3 years of hands-on UX design experience (SaaS or enterprise environment preferred)

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design process and UX problem-solving

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools

  • Experience conducting user research and applying insights to design improvements

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive, cross-platform design principles

  • Familiarity with component-based design and design systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience translating complex accounting/financial processes into user-friendly interfaces

  • Agile team experience with rapid iteration workflows

Tech Stack:

  • Design tools: Figma (primary), Sketch, Adobe XD

  • Development references: Angular, React

  • Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams

  • Research & Testing Platforms: User research tools (unspecified)
