Description:
Roofmart, a leading Canadian distributor of exterior building supplies including roofing, siding, metal, and building envelope products, is seeking a dedicated Driver - Crane to join its Surrey, BC team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering building products to customers while operating and maintaining a crane truck. Duties include conducting pre-operational inspections, performing maintenance checklists, cleaning and lubricating the crane, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. You will also maintain a clean and organized work environment across the store, yard, and trucks.
The position demands physical stamina, as lifting, pushing, and carrying loads of 80–100 lbs repeatedly is required. Strong customer service skills are essential to represent Roofmart professionally and support client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely load, move, and deliver building products.
Perform pre-operational inspections and crane maintenance.
Ensure strict compliance with health and safety policies and legislation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, store, and truck.
Carry out other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements:
Valid and insurable Class 3 CDL with a clean driver’s abstract (West Canada) OR AZ/DZ license (East Canada).
Load securement training (can be provided).
Fall Protection / Working at Heights training (asset; can be provided).
First Aid Certification (asset; can be provided).
Forklift or Moffett training (asset; can be provided).
Previous truck driving and crane operator experience preferred.
Physical ability to lift 80–100 lbs repeatedly.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of the roofing industry is an asset.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
