Description:
Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is seeking experienced Japanese to English AI Translation Reviewers with a specialization in medicine. The role involves reviewing AI-generated translations to ensure they meet high standards of linguistic accuracy, fluency, and contextual integrity. Translators will work on both academic manuscripts and non-academic materials originally written in Japanese.
As a Translation Reviewer, you will assess AI-generated content for accuracy, refine terminology, correct sentence structures, and ensure the final output is clear, natural, and suitable for both academic and non-academic contexts. This is a freelance, remote contract role ideal for professionals with expertise in translation and a strong understanding of medical content.
Ensure AI-generated translations accurately convey the meaning of source manuscripts.
Identify and revise incorrect terminology, unclear expressions, or awkward phrasing.
Enhance fluency, grammar, and readability of the translated content.
Compare AI outputs with the original text to detect omissions or mistranslations.
Deliver polished translations with appropriate tone and context for target audiences.
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:
A degree in Translation or equivalent with substantial translation training.
A graduate or higher degree in any other field plus at least two years of comprehensive professional translation experience.
Five years of professional translation experience without formal academic training in translation.
