Transition Administrator

 

Description:

The Transition Administrator plays a key role in supporting the National Sales team and ensuring the smooth transition of Financial Advisors (FAs) and Agents to Raymond James. Reporting to the Supervisor of Transition Services, the administrator acts as a liaison between the home office and new Financial Advisors/Agents, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in transitioning Financial Advisors/Agents to Raymond James in Canada.

  • Maintaining ongoing communication with transitioning Financial Advisors/Agents.

  • Educating transitioning Financial Advisors/Agents and their support staff on policies and procedures related to operations, compliance, marketing, technology, investment products, and business issues.

  • Managing the process from initial training to ongoing support for new Advisors.

  • Arranging operational training for branches and customizing transition needs.

  • Coordinating approval and printing of stationary and business cards.

  • Leading weekly transition calls/meetings with Financial Advisors/Agents and their teams.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Fundamental knowledge of investment concepts and procedures in the securities industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new applications.

  • Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume, demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Advanced face-to-face, email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion with confidential information.

  • Proficiency in French is an asset.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree.

  • 3 or more years of experience in the Investment Brokerage or Financial Services Industry.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Investment Representative licensing; or

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH).

Travel:

  • Up to 75% travel may be required.
